Shredder gearbox
Gearboxes with a long service life and high efficiency for your shredding systems
The design of the shredder gearboxes takes into account the special features of shredding systems such as frequent impacts and shocks, which demand very high torques from the gearbox for short periods of time. The expectation of a long service life was implemented here, as was a high level of efficiency. In addition, continuous improvement ensures that we are also constantly improving in this area.
Technical data
- Special design by arrangement
- Rated drive speed up to 3,000 rpm
- Translations from i = 7
- 2- and 3-stage version
- Monobloc housing in Ferrocast
- Enclosure designs optimized using the finite element method (FEM)

Advantages
Shredder gearboxes from Koellmann Gear are specially developed for the special requirements of shredder systems:
- Extremely robust design for high resistance to impact loads
- Gearbox design for use in processing a wide range of materials (e.g. metals, plastics, natural materials, composites)
- Constant power transmission for high, consistent throughput of materials in 24/7 operation
APPLICATIONS
Shredding and/or recycling systems have been more in demand than ever in recent years and will continue to be in the future. They support careful environmental protection and enable the sustainable use of resources. What used to end up “unfiltered” in landfill is now broken down into its components and fed back into the raw material cycle. Here are some examples of applications:

DESIGNS AND ACCESSORIES
The two- and three-stage design in one housing construction allows for particularly flexible machine use. The noise and performance-optimized helical gears guarantee low sound pressure levels and high efficiency. A rigid monobloc housing design compensates for and realizes even the highest loads.
